                   Brief Description of each chapter

Each chapter of this book will give you useful insights about how to handle the
events of your day-to-day life and how to use them to better yourself.  Most
chapters have at least one step-by-step method or exercise you can use
immediately. The first chapter, WORRYING, shows how worry can become
excessive and turn into a disease and how you can prevent it using simple
techniques. Chapter number two, ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, AND PANIC ATTACKS
demonstrates meditative methods that counter anxiety and depression. You can
reduce or become free of medication by meditating.  The third chapter A
DISSECTION OF THE EGO illuminates various ways in which you get used by
others, and at the end, get dumped when they no longer need you. It teaches you
how to avoid unnecessary suffering by becoming more aware. Again, there are
methods to become more meditative and avoid the pain created by a puffed up
ego.

The fourth chapter, CRITICISM, A GATEWAY TO SELF-IMPROVEMENT discusses
ways in which an ordinary person can use daily interactions for tremendous
personal growth. It shows methods that you can follow just for a few days to bring
about structural changes in your personality that will take you several steps
upward in your personal growth.

The next chapter on SPIRITUAL MATURITY is a description of what it is like to be
spiritually matured.  It will inspire some people to strive for such a life. It will give
others assurance of what they are seeing in themselves, and for yet others, it will
provide a milestone of their spiritual progress. Many may want to read and re-read
this chapter to create an inner space in which they can take flight into meditation
easily.  The next chapter, PREPARING GROUND FOR MEDITATION, points out the
need to recognize lies. It tells how lies and certain beliefs prevent a person from
growing up.

Meditation and personal peace are central themes that run as an undercurrent
throughout this book. Meditation is described in layman’s terms in the chapter
MEDITATION.  The chapter reveals how our inside affects our outside and how we
have more control over our inside than the events that surround us. This chapter
is useful to people who want to start meditating and to those who have been
meditating for a while and to those who have meditated for many years. This
chapter also gives pointers on how to become more relaxed and more peaceful at
work, at home and in relationships under all circumstances.

As you progress in meditation, you will come to know more clearly how the mind
functions.  The chapter WORLD OF MIND describes some of the ways the mind
functions and will become useful as you progress in meditation. It is also useful to
those who are more advanced by providing reassurance.

We cannot live without connection to the people around us.  The next chapter,
RELATIONSHIPS, is an excellent workshop to improve your skills in building
healthy relationships, as well as gaining personal growth through them. In chapter
10, ON THE SIDE,  provides some thoughts on, food, rest, relaxation, alcohol,
prayer, yoga, chanting and nonviolence, that are important for personal growth.
Chapter 11, A LOT MORE CAN BE SAID, BUT… concludes the book with some very
important tips for reader.
